Lu Ann Duplessis – Director
Lu Ann genuinely loves what she does. She had foster children in her home for 18 years. She operated a daycare in her home, and then worked in a center. After realizing this was truly what she loved doing, she attended Keystone College and earned her Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education. She has worked in child care for 22 years. Lu Ann also received the “Lifetime Achievement Award for Services to Children” from the Wayne County Children’s Coalition on September 27, 2007.
Patty Barkawi – Assistant Director
Patty has an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education. She is Assistant Director and Lead teacher in the preschool room. She has worked in the field for 20 years.
Marilyn (Miss M.) Schlosser
Miss M. is a retired teacher with a teaching certificate in Nursery, Kindergarten and Elementary Education. She works part time in our toddler and preschool rooms.
Marilyn Rothwell
Marilyn works part time in our toddler and preschool rooms and has worked with children for 6 years.
JoEllen Place
JoEllen has finished her classes for her CDA (Child Development Associate Certificate) and will soon be taking her final test to receive her CDA certificate. She is a teacher in the toddler room and has worked with children for 3 years.
Kathy Black
Kathy is our infant room teacher who has worked in child care for 4 years. She also finished her CDA classes and will soon take her final test to receive her CDA certificate.
Kate Jones
Kate works as a toddler teacher, but also works in the preschool room and infant room part time. Kate worked as a Teacher’s aide in Forest City School District before she came to Ages & Stages.
Rita Wasnowic
Rita is a part time staff and attended college for Early Childhood Education. She has worked directly with children for 4 years.
